boxster car covers.

Hi looking for an outdoor cover for my boxster i am after one that will not scratch the surface of the cars paintwork. I had the car repainted last august,so the paintwork is fantastic.
The problem is, i live next to the woods and around early spring, till mid summer the crows,or rooks, are nesting, and are territorial.
When they are on the floor looking for food next to the the car, they see their reflection in the car and attack it.
they make a right mess of the paint work, it looks as if a cat has pawed all down the side of the car,( absolute nightmare ). I imagine i would have to wash and dry the car every time i cover the car to stop the dust and grit on the car from rubbing into the paintwork, when the cover is fitted.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.
many thanks, nicky.

I bought the hamilton car cover and was very pleased with it as an outdoor car cover. It was not porsche specific but fitted perfectly considering it doesnt have mirror pockets. Only downside to outdoor covers is they are quite bulky so you need to stow them in the front luggage compartment. soft fleece on the inside and a woven fabric on the outside with elasticated lower edge and tie strings to go under the car for really strong winds etc. Yes ....unfortunately you need to keep the car clean and ideally fit the cover when there is no grit on the bodywork.

I also recommend the Covercraft Noah. It is fairly thick and gives good protection against our two cats so birds should be no problem. As a plus, it does not lift in strong winds because of its weight but still fits in the front boot. Try the Vertar site.

Thanks, guys. i have purchased an outdoor cover from cover- it. It is the voyager model. It said it is made of latest generation anti scratch material, but just seems to be a single layer of silver material, similar to the type used on windscreen frost protectors . it is fitted with door pockets, but just thought that it would have a soft inner lining. Anyone used these before?

Yep - I bought a Voyager cover about 3-4 months ago from http://www.car-cover-uk.com
It's been great - no problems with it or scratching - have a garage so admittedly have only used the cover a dozen times (when away from home). Before putting the cover on I always give the car a quick sponge clean and chamois dry to get off any dirt before putting on the cover.

Thanks guys for the replys, wasn;t sure if i was going to keep the cover i bought, but feel reasurred now thanks, big up the forum!!
