boxster cd multichanger

New member
HI , new to the forum , just got a 2000 boxster with porsche stereo and cd multichanger prepared .

Problem is that it seems to be a sony fitting for the multichanger but it does not work with my 10 disc sony , it powers the multichanger so I can eject/insert the cds but wont select it on the head unit .

Does anyone know which multichanger will work , or do I need to buy the porsche one ?

Acegames - The Porsche CD changer is basically a Becker Silverstone which is available for around half the Porsche unit price (I bought mine for GBP245 and it took 20 mins to fit). Same size and fittings so slots straight in, just missing the Porsche script on the cover.

GBP220. If you want somewhere closer type Becker Silverstone into a google search.

No im not going to brands , but I will send you the money and some for postage if I cant get a cable for my 10 disc sony .

Are any other changers compatible with the factory fitted head unit. The Hendon website implies that the sony units are. If this is so, they are half the price.
