Boxster colours

I have a 2003 2.7 boxtser, in dark blue. Paint code is 39c 4bl. I am looking for a hardtop and don't know what the colour is called. Any ideas?

I want to make sure I buy the right colour top :)

Just to confuse the issue, 39C is Midnight Blue metallic (Nachtblau in German). Lapis Blue would be 3A8 or 3A9. I suspect the 4BL is something to do with the trim colour.

Well, don't forget that the original owner may have specified a non-standard colour!

You could always go for a black one [8D]

Just found the colour code plate in the front boot. Midnight blue is written. I also read that lapis blue was the only blue available.

Well, if I recall our Register Assistant Nic Doczi has a Midnight Blue 2003.
Standard colours are just that - standard ones that can be chosen by the client.
In reality there are also "special order" colours such as Midnight Blue, or even any colour you care to ask for - they do this as colour to sample:

Midnight blue isn't a special order colour on the facelift 986's it took over from Lapis as the metallic blue choice. Hardtop shouldn't be a problem, try http://www.porsch-apart.co.uk/ .... but why would you want a hardtop with the glass rear window roof?
