Boxster, economical motoring

Hi,

I have just about doubled the mileage on my car with a 1240-mile trip to Scotland during the last 4 days.

Over 900 miles were done in the transit up to and from Scotland with full fuel, two people and full luggage mostly doing 70 mph on motorways. The remaining 300 or so miles were a mix of endlessly touring Inverness for a car park that did not close at tea time and spirited driving along the mostly deserted roads.

The car simply did every thing asked of it, the standard seats remained comfortable even after 7 hours. The most staggering thing to me was that in speed and comfort I still achieved over 31mpg using Optimax or 97 RON petrol.
