I sold my beloved 964 last year of which i owned for 6 years and am now desperate to get a porsche again. Can anybody tell me if there is much difference between the 3.2 & 3.4
engine in the boxter?

Tigertrout, Best source of all around info' on all things Boxster would be to get the buyer's guide from 911 & Porsche World you can buy them on line

Other than that, at some point around the end of the 3.2 the IMS and bearings were redesigned and so was the RMS but since Porsche claim the 987 to be 80% new design I would expect there are other changes to the 987 3.4 over the 986 3.2.

The question then is was there any intermediate changes brought into the 987 3.2 during the change over period.

Hope this gives some help.

3.4 engine was the newer engine firstly put in the cayman s I believe-not a massive hike in power i dont think.but noticeable(imho)
