Boxster flat battery

Hi everyone, Happy New Year-
Have not been on the website for some time, four-weeks in Thailand, I know but someone has to do it, then there was the Christmas break. Today was the first day since the middle of November when I was tempted out in the sunshine in Boadacea aka Arctic Silver Boxster 2.7 my002, and what do you know, the battery was not flat, but it was tired enough not to turn the engine over. A quick call to Porsche Assistance, an equally quick response from Danny the RAC man, and I was mobile again. The advice was to do a short trip to charge the battery, so it was down to Porsche Centre mid-Sussex to pick up a charger and have a look at the new building, and what a marvellous Centre it is. Jacqui and I received the usual welcome, not what I have read of some other OPCs, plus a tour of the facility which is definitely 21st century. Simon in the parts dept. suggested a Porsche charger which fits into the cigarette lighter to maintain a charged battery when required. The part number is P000.044.900.25 and came out at £34.70 incl.VAT AND A 10% DISCOUNT WHICH I DID NOT HAVE TO ASK FOR!! Don't know whether I am lucky, but my faith in all things Porsche remains undented. Happy motoring [:)][:)]:ROFLMAO:
