Hello, this is my first post and I am trying to find an outfit or garage in and around the Bristol area that hires out Boxsters for weekends. It's my husband's 60th in a few weeks and he also retires at the same time; he plans to buy a Boxster later this year. I have found a few (expensive!) hire companies on the 'net but just wondered if anyone could recommend a particular place.

Why not try and get your local OPC to loan you a car for the weekend and hopefully if your husband likes it then they will be getting a future order [;)] Must be worth a phonecall to the sales manager

How about getting your local Porsche Centre to give an extended test drive (you might be lucky!)

I have no idea of the reputation of these companies, just a few I found on a search.

Finally there is a big name that hires them out - Avis

If hubby is thinking of a Boxster, he will defo buy one after a test drive so come on strong with your OPC, and if they wont play go to one that will. Hiring will be very expensive so be positive with dealers.

Has he any idea how super duper the Boxster is ? [;)]

Only place I can think of is Berkeley Vale Motors, Thornbury Road, Alveston, Bristol.
It's on the A38 near Thornbury.

Rapidrive are good and will drop car and collect, expensive though.

Try OPC, although I had no luck in London.
