Boxster ICE

If someone out there has done it already I'll like some tips please.

I want to upgrade my ICE system for something a bit more pleasing to the ear (other than the engine of course). As it goes these days, that would include an ipod docking facility though I would prefer an inbuilt mp3 player.

Can anyone recomend something and where do I get it fitted?

Have a look at the Dension Ice Link, this will interface your iPod very tidily with the Standard Becker headunit (I assume thats what you have already).

I installed mine in the centre armrest, fitted to the back of the lid.. Very tidy and easy to use/remove/update/check....

It is atleast a very good starting point as the Dension ice link will fit most standard manfacturers and aftermarket headunits.

Many thanks. I'll start there. If anyone else is interested I also saw on the 'boxa' forum that harman kardon are due to bring out another adaptor/interface next month.

If anyone is considering making a move into a slightly more upmarket sound system, I'd strongly recommend speaking to Amit (contact details in the above link)
If ayone would like to have a natter on how to, it's easier than you think! Drop me a mail to jacbox@blueyonder.co.uk

For Mark; I will get something put together as a "how to" on the instal. As soon as the "polishing" closed season is upon me I'll do it - and yes, I'm behind with the polishing articles as well:rolleyes:

Thanks - it looks an excellent install - neat and tidy, and non-intrusive.
Believe me I know how hard it is to write these things, so in your own time...[:)]

If anyone is interested, I have a Dension iPod link and Brodit Proclip that will fit a Boxster or 996. Never been used but I changed my head unit for an iPod ready Alpine unit so I didn't need it. Reasonable offer accepted.
