Boxster launch

I made a serious tactical error last night. Having scored an invite to the Boxster launch, I made the mistake of driving ... thereby depriving myself of a lengthy swim in the rivers of champagne which were flowing freely. RATS! [][][]

Joking apart, a most excellent evening, my thanks to Porsche Centre Edinburgh.

PS Had a very conspiratorial chat with the Heid Bummer from Porsche UK about the new Boxster Coupe, but if I told you I'd have to shoot you! [&:]

Funnily enough I've just read Stephen Mummery's page in the Porsche Post, and what I learned is exactly what he is saying, perhaps we were talking to the same person.

The Coupe is for real, the guy I spoke to had seen it and said it was quite something. It will be marketed as a new model, not as part of the Boxster range, although he wouldn't tell me the name, and it will be positioned between the Boxster S and the 911 range, which sadly puts it out of my reach. Details of the car will be divulged to the dealer network in 2 weeks time, although quite when it will be revealed to the public is another matter. The snippet in this week's Autocar seems to be bang on the money, I guess they have good sources.

Now I'll have to shoot you Brian []
