Semi-serious question... My partner is an essential worker and has a night shift tonight (thankfully her last shift before a 4-day break). "Her" car is a basic model VW Up!, "mine" is a 987.2. Which should she drive to work tonight, given the forecast of snow (and it's just started here now). Going to work at 4pm probably won't be an issue, but coming home at 4am tomorrow morning might well be.
I'm thinking that front-wheel drive is better than rear-wheel in the snow, but the Boxster has traction control, ABS and big fat tyres. The VW has... er... skinny tyres and that's about it. BUT the power of the 987, and her relatively unfamiliarity with it (especially directly after driving something with a lawnmower engine) might make it a worse choice even if it's technically better.
Thoughts?
