Hi Everyone
Great news for those of you who follow Twitter. We can now be followed on an official PCGB Boxster Register address.

You can find us at: https://twitter.com/BoxsterRegister and our username/handle is: @BoxsterRegister if anyone wants to send messages to us.

Anyone who wants to access it will have to sign up to Twitter first which is very easy and free to do via http://www.twitter.com. The advantage will be that members who follow our tweets will find it convenient to get Register news and events as they happen on their smartphones, tablets and pads as they go about their business without needing to have access to a desktop or laptop PC.
So get tweeting.
Regards
Tracy

Hi Tracy

Just a reminder that this is a trial version template, and if it proves successful, it will be rolled out to all Registers and Regions later in the year with the launch of the new website and Digital Media Platform.

Just a thought, but so that there's an obvious link to the Register's Twitter page on the forum, can an administrator please add the following code to somewhere in the Boxster area on the forum?:

<a href="https://twitter.com/BoxsterRegister" class="twitter-follow-button" data-show-count="false">Follow @BoxsterRegister</a>
<script>!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],p=/^http:/.test(d.location)?'http':'https';if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src=p+'://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js';fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document, 'script', 'twitter-wjs');</script>

Otherwise can we make this thread a sticky?

Peter we have had a regional twitter feed for some time so how will this existing feed be used ?

https://twitter.com/PCGB_London

btw: At the request of our regional members we do not use the 'Following' feature as it leads to too many 'junk' tweets .... We run a clean twitter account that is only used to promote regional events.

Wonder who that was... If it was timed right (say early March) would think it should be possible to arrange to have at least one of our race Boxsters there to offer passenger laps in - so Boxster owners can get a fee for how much more planted the race cars are (I'm not guaranteeing I would be any quicker, though!). Personally I'd have a preference for Silverstone or Donington.

Chris.

And another idea for the singletons... speed dating with cars. Lasses sit in the car and the chaps rotate through the cars, spending three minutes with each other before moving on to the next car and the next potential love interest. Just wondering who sits in the driver's seat.
