first glance it looked quite TT'ish to me!
Andrew

Yeah but much nicer :ROFLMAO: What about the other shot then thats not TT looking [&o]

No Andrew - not that ugly! Looks promising, article said it would launch at Frankfurt, rear 3/4 view is interesting and I do like those 997 wheels.

tony

About those wheels - has anyone else noticed the ones on the second picture (the shot from the rear) are yet ANOTHER variation of the "new style" wheels? They have 3 mini-spokes on the end of each main spoke at the rim end, and the main "spokes" are fatter.

They are Photoshopped wheels. Test cars are unlikely to have silver wheels - probably would be matt black to reduce the attention being drawn to them. Also, there is no way a top secret prototype a year ahead of launch is going to be allowed out of the compound with coloured crests!

I have no doubt that the black one was a genuine car caught on test. However, blurry disguised prototypes don't sell mags so the art dept has to touch them up as best they can and hence all the bits you've spotted on it. The red one is pure fiction. Porsche would never test the car with no disguise at all, and that one looks like it could be driven out of a showroom. Equally, you wouldn't expect Porsche to be opposite locking a prototype on a track with a driver with no helmet. For the Worlds worst photoshopped prototypes have a browse through any copy of AutoExpress!
