Unfortunate recent incident where I unvoidably hit some debris on the M4. Unfortunate because it severely damage the power steering pipes which now need replacing. I'm now in the process of looking at the options for having the damage repaired and wondered if any Member has any actual experience or advice on having this work done either by a Porsche dealer or an independent.

I think the options you have available are:
new oe parts
used parts
aftermarket parts made to fit
An independent can offer you all three for you to decide, whereas the OPC can only supply new.
Not sure of your location, but we have a sister business that sells used Porsche parts. It is likely that we could supply and fit them for you.
