boxster s sports exhaust

OPC always say that lol.
You maybe right......., they say that about the PCM and the Bose and I would certainly not bother with the BOSE system ever again, and not the PCM if it were not that it affects the resale, but I have not seen a Boxster S without the Sports Exhaust option (981 S) ,seen a good few , certainly not since the option was released last September.
I still feel the sound is 50% of the experience of owning a sports car, especially when Porsche would stop your warranty if you put a non version on
and you never get the PCM cost back and it's also a dated unit with no full post code search and even just 2 years ago was not even touch screen
So it's all marketing as a PCM car is never worth £2.1k more
so yes it does affect resale, but not as much as you paid for it ;-) a car without is normally 1k cheaper than a car with so you are still left 1.1k out of pocket.
the new 981 does already sound fruity imo and hence why if you look on forums some people wish they did not have the sports option as it does boom.
on the 987.2 dfi cars they did need it as they were so quite, on the new models you need to drive and make a personal choice as standard is fruity as I said.
So I go back to my 1st post, some will love it some seem to hate it.

My 981 Boxster sounds pretty good and does not have a sports exhaust. However, I have never found any Porsche, even with a sports exhaust, to sound half as good as a Ferrari with basic exhaust.
I think my GT3RS was just as nice as my 430 , and the RS started and ran more often
