Boxster Sat Nav

I have a Porsche Boxster 2012 which I imported from the Middle East and now want to add UK and Europe maps to the satnav. Can anyone advise how this can be done. PCM is V3.41. Thanks. John

Hi
You will have to acquire a set of maps for the UK and re-program the PCM to take the UK maps. Last time i did it - if i remember correctly an activation code was needed for the PCM to allow it to use the UK maps. These can be purchased on line for $100 or so a go, or through your dealership, who may not wish to give the code to you.
To get it all up and running your car will need connecting to PIWIS where the vehicle order will have to be changed, you then need to input the activation code (via PIWIS) and then the maps can be uploaded via the disks. On one i did recently (car going from UK to AUS) it would run a dual set of maps as it had sufficient room in the PCM hard-drive and the owner could switch between the two.
Thanks
