Boxster servicing recommendations

I would like some advice on servicing for my Boxster 3.2s which I purchased last summer . It is due a service and would like to now if any body would recommend a Porsche specialist garage in the midlands area it was last service in August 2015 and has covered 3000 miles since then and this was carried out at cavendish Porsche Nottingham. Ideally I would like somewhere nearer to where I live in Stafford .

Hi, I go to CMS Porsche in Telford- reasonably priced and Steve knows his stuff. Have been very pleased with the work he has done for me.

Steve
thanks for the reply I did look at CMS Porsche in Telford and I'm glad to hear some good feedback .
Do you have servicing carried out there I see you own a Boxster too . Looking at there service rates they look quite reasonable too .
Cheers

Possibly a bit far for you, but PC Solihull is excellent. They've been looking after my Boxsters for a number of years now and are a pleasure to deal with. It's a premier dealership so they have a reputation to protect too. Ask for Lucy.

Hi,Steve at CMS Porsche has serviced my car twice and new clutch/IMS/Flywheel change . Have just changed to a newer Boxster so will no doubt be visiting him again !
Cheers
Adrian

Thanks again for the feedback on CMS Porsche I will go and see them next week and hopefully they can sort me out . This is the first Porsche I've owned so it's good to speak to other owners really glad I joined this forum , I have found out a lot .

I have visited Steve at CMS and also found him good. They have a load of second hand spares and can provide genuine odds n sods quickly. Just a note: we now have a PC down on the Stafford Road (A449) near Wolverhampton, which was at Solihull.
Best, Pat (2004 Boxster)

Thanks for the reply , I m a recent owner of my first Boxster and are the servicing costs at a Porsche centre a lot more expensive than a porsche specialist garage .

I agree, and was quite staggered by a price quoted by them to service my motor and change the coil packs. I had a lot of fun doing DIY plugs and packs for about £150 the oil change can wait a bit as I do so few miles in a year. I know that a correct service history is recommended but it really is a cost/benefit with an older car. Do you know that Halfords will now (they did not a couple of years ago) quote you for a service; they may not be specialists but they 'service' a lot of cars and fitted new front springs to mine last MOT when a broken one was found.

Sorry, just reread your last post, I thought you said that PC was expensive! You should get quotes as I would not call any of the specialists 'cheap'

You could try Zuffenhaus also based in Solihull. No problem recommending them, great guys with very reasonable rates, they have always looked after both of my cars.

Morning
Do I need to have my 1997 Boxster Tiptronic service every year ( I do less than 1000 per year) or just change the oil, the car has only done 20,254 mile since new.The car is kept in the garage from 1st Oct- 31st March each year on trickle charger and only every driven on sunny days.

Regards
Gary

Crikey.... I thought my 1998 2.5 was low mileage at 38K . I have the same question as I only do 1000 miles a year myself
