Boxster short shift retrofit

Hi,

I recently purchased a short shift retro fit kit for my Boxster after driving a friends Boxster that had already been modified.

Before I begin, does anybody have fitting instructions or guidance notes on fitting, as my kit did not come with any.

I am not overly concerned on fitting the kit, but any hints tips etc would be gladly received.

Either way, I will photograph the procedure step by step and make a write up which I will make available if anybody wants it.

Thanks in advance.

986 or 987? Also, is this the full kit with frame or the partial kit such as the Schnell or B&M units?

Regards

I've got the fitting instructions if you want them. Drop me an email (click the link below my avatar) and I'll attach them to a reply.

Edit: Oh yes, let me know if 986 or 987.

I would also suggest buying the lock bridge from Porsche (costs about 3 pounds) as it locates the gear lever in the perfect position before marking the linkage rods prior to removal. The instructions on the web link are for a 986 , the 9867 is a little different on trim removal , but otherwise its the same part.

As always, thanks to you all for your replies. your help is very much appreciated. I will let you know how I get on!!

Cheers
