Boxster sticking throttle?

When changing gear on my 2006 987, the revs don't drop (in fact they rise) when off the throttle and depressing the clutch, Anyone had the same issue?

We've had a few throttle pedal breakages on the race Boxsters - wonder if it's as simple as that?

A update on my last post on the possible 987 sticking throttle. It later turned into very poor running, refusal to rev past 4000, lumpy & smoking, with oil in the inlet. My mechanic (ex Porsche) had it for 2 weeks. He'd replaced the Air Oil Separator last year but changed it again to be safe, put in new coils (most were cracked), plugs & oil & filter (to guarantee how much oil was actually in the engine as he didn't trust the electronic dipstick) - not much improvement but knew the fault couldn't been down to these parts. He then discovered, by chance, the Air Mass Meter was intermittently faulty, sending confusing messages to the electronic throttle which in turn was sucking oil into the inlet! He'd never seen that before. Replaced that & the good news is that it now runs great (forgotten how well it could run so it must have been worsening for a while). Fingers crossed it stays that way...
