Just out of interest being an air cooled man.. if a boxster with suspect head gasket problems does that really point to the engine is duff because of the water jacket being damaged as like with the 996 engines. EG throw away and buy a new one......

It's the same basic engine...

But since when did a head gasket problem mean the engine gets thrown away? Cracked cylinder bore maybe (although Autofarm, and I believe Hartech, now offer solutions) but head gasket?

What I thought.. Dealer was selling off a T plate for £6995 and I said it's the engine not the gasket he talked alot of s***

still cheap but not cheap enough.. sounds like he caught a cold on the trade in and can't wait to shift it..

with a £4K bill to fix it,it's not worth it..

£5K and we are talking but he didn't like that.. still it's an offer unless some uninformed punter comes along thinking it's a bargain

Was thinking about buying it, Drop the motor strip it send it to Autofarm get it sorted with more poke, rebuild it and put it back and enjoy...
