Braided Hose

Evening chaps

Noted at the weekend the short blue braided hose from the brake fluid tank is a bit frayed so needs replacing. Would rather not buy the wrong thing, can anyone point me in the right direction of some suitable replacement hose pls? Or is it just as easy to get a new one from OPC, need some of those cable ties round the top of the engine bay anyway.

Looking forward to next couple of weeks, load of guys from the TIPEC forum are over then PCGB. Should be good fun and an opp for a few run outs.

Cheers
Lee

Hi Lee, I've not heard of that particular hose wearing out or becoming frayed very often so I think the best place to try first will be your local Porsche Centre. If it is an item that is no longer available then I would try your local branch of Pirtek who can make up hoses for most kind of fluids

Don't forget this isnt a braided hose as such just a rubber hose with blue fabric overbraiding. It is designed to and will withstand a certain amount of pressure, but its only a low pressure gravity feed for the clutch Master cylinder. The highest pressure ever exerted is when you use a one man bleed kit to force fluid into the master cylinder !

That looks like mice have been at it.

That was my first thought as well having picked up a chair at the weekend with similar damage, that had been stored for a few months. [8|]

I have the part number for those, the ones that screw on a stud?

If you have pet they are on the picture of the carbon canister
