Brake calliper

Is there a colour code for OEM Brake Callipers, apart that is from those that paint them different colours. My C2 Cab has High Gloss Black Callipers with the Porsche logo on them. I have seen several other cars with Silver, and of course those Turbo jobbies with the Big Red ones, I was interested to know whether these Black ones differed from say the Silver ones ?

Owned the car for 2 months now, absolutely fantastic .... makes my "Tweaked Audi TT" that it replaced seem a very distant memory ... esp when viewed in the rear view mirror.!

The silver ones were used on the C4 models and also I think on the Anniversary.
The black ones on everything else bar turbo/C4S/Gt2/Gt3 which used red ones unless they were specified with PCCBS where they were painted yellow. Carrera GTs came with PCCBS as standard so always had yellow painted calipers.

Thanks that clears things up for me .... so just an ordinary owner then ..... But my 2001/2002 Cab is Guards Red with Black, and absolutely immac having done only 18K, so that makes it out of the ordinary for me. Image

They are all fantastic cars!

If you're thinking about changing your caliper colours, call the parts dept of your local Porsche Centre and ask them for the colour code you want they will be happy to provide you with it.
