brake cooling ducts - recommendations

can anyone recommend a source for brake cooling ducts? I got a set on the cheap from a guy near me who brought some and never fitted them. I think they were from design 911 and they are the fiberglass type (which looking on their website weren't cheap). Thing is they don't fit, and its not just a little bit out, they require a lot of "trimming" (read hacking) to make them fit. Im also not keen on the mountings for them

Ive done a search and there are quite a few posts regarding brake scoops on here, but most are talking about the whole kits and whether they work or not. Im really only looking for the cosmetic benefit (how vain!) and so am looking for some that are easy to fit with minimal or no trimming and can be brought on their own (without ducting/backing plates, etc). Ive seen some on the cargraphic website, but they are quite pricey and wondered if they fit the bill (or bumper) or if anyone has any better alternatives to sugest?

Thanks in advance guys

Ben

I believe you can buy original plastic ducts from Porsche but expect to dig deep in ya pockets. I have the aftermarket ones on my car, they did take a bit or trimming but once fitted they look great, again mine are mainly for looks so your not the only vein person out there, in fact i think most people fit them for this reason!! Hopefully i did this right so you should see the ducts in the picture.

yeah they look spot on, the ones I got (cost me a couple of pints so couldnt complain) are so far from fitting around the indicator that they look terible.. I trimmed them back (theyre too long by about 1/2") and they just look bodged as there is a sharp edge rather than a small rad. Also they are too deep at the other end (inboard) with too much of a taper, and so there is a large channel between the scoop and the bumper.. They are just miles out and I can't be bothered spending hours with the filler and sander making it look right if I can get a set that fit well straight out of the box..

Mine are from Cargraphic but came in a Ruf box the are expensive but better than the cheap UK copies. No unsightly screws bolt from the back. Easy on the nearside but difficult on the off side as you have the oil rad there. I fitted ducting bought from motor factors at Silverstone and it looks better IMO. I used the ducting to hold the off side one in place as could not reach to bolt it up. I think you would need to take the bumper of to do it properly. Even the way I did it I had to take the front wheels off and the wheel liners and you should allow your self a morning.. Tech art do a whole kit including Spots but expensive.

Think I paid about £35 for mine from an ebay seller who I've recommended to plenty of others who have been happy. Doesn't always sell on ebay but you can mail him direct.....I'll dig his details out
