Just had the car serviced and greatly disappointed to have replace all the brake disks after 40,000miles due to corrosion/pitting. [
] I don't drive that hard and have never done any Track Days. I've never had to replace disks before on any car.
I had noticed that if the car was left with the handbrake on for a couple of days that when reversing out of my garage it sounded/felt like the bottom of the car was dropping off! Hence I haven't applied the handbrake for a long time now........
The service was done at Redline Racing who as usual did a superb job but apparently it is a "fairly common problem" for the disks to be replaced as early. Is that the experience of others or is it another case of poor Porsche quality etc? [:'(]
