Brake pad/disc bedding in.

Hi , I have just completed my 1st disc and pad change on my 997.2 C4s. I opted for OEM Pagid dics and pads which I got for a bargain price from eurocarparts over Christmas. I have replace the wear sensors and anti rattle plates and having researched it online before hand it seemed to go smoothly other than an old anti rattle plate being welded into one of the pistons.
My question to anyone who has done this themselves before is around bed in procedures for new disc and pads. There seems to lots of contradicting advice available on various forums. At the moment it seems to be :- road pads - for road use then no bed in required just gentle use for the first hundred or so miles till the discs polish up.
It would seem if you go for race/performance compounds then that seems to be when people go for heat cycles and repeated heavy braking followed by cooling to evenly put a layer of pad material later on the disc.
As I have no intention of tracking the car and am on standard disc/pads then it is my intention to go for the gentle run in with no heat cycles etc. Does anyone have any different information? Any personal experience would be welcome...

Repeated heavy breaking for sure. It even says so on Pagid's website IIRC.
Move always used this method on all my cars and always worked a treat

I know the website has that information for racepads but can't see the same instructions for road pads...

From Brembos European Website:
Bedding in lasts about 200 km, during which it is essential to check for vibrations and noise from the brakes, both when driving and braking
The braking must be effective and brief and gradual brakes must be performed to allow proper alignment of the pad surface in contact with the disc.
Extremely sharp or violent braking can cause overheating of the friction material of the pads and disc, eventually compromising the integrity and the performance of brakes.

I would say repeated firm stops rather than heavy? And make sure you don't stop then hold the brakes on as this traps heat between the disc and pads, leading to warping.
