I will need to replace my front pads and discs soon.
I am interested for feedback of experience with non genuine porsche parts - good and bad
If so what make is recommended. I have seen Pagid or Textar/Sebro advertised by eurocarparts

all good, had them on my 3.2 s, been to track days etc, reality is one never goes fast enough on public road to even begin to notice the performance difference between
brake/disc combo, get the one's you can afford, new "budget" brakes thousand times better than worn omp!

i spent a long time researching this subject as i need a full set and decided the Sebro kits by Design911 were the best combination of price and quality as they are well respected. The discs also come with the hubs painted like the OEM.
Front kit inc discs, pads and sensors are £135

Sebro or Zimmermann discs and Textar or Pagid pads are good. Pagid and Textar are part of the same company (TMD friction). Original Porsche parts are Textar branded.

Assuming you are running a Boxster which is not subject to any dealer warranty then the various options mentioned above are all good solutions.

If however you are planing on extending your warranty then you will have to stick with genuine items.

If you do have a Porsche warranty then buy the pads from the OPC and claim your PCGB discount and fit them yourself.

ive just changed mine in the last 2 weeks on my cayman 3.4 i used pagid disks and pads... they work just fine and easy to fit

yes go after market, my fronts were done / fitted for £330.00 all in, no problems after 4000 miles, and better than £700 at opc!

I buy the Sebro/Textar sets from Design 911 with all the bits and bobs - £200+VAT front and back.
