Brake Pads for C2 cab

I am thinking of replacing my front and rear pads for some powerstop EBC "Red Stuff" pads does anyone have any advice. My OPC has quoted me £280 fronts and £289 rears fitted, the powerstop pads are are considerably cheaper but I have to get someone to fit them. Also does anyone have anyadvice as to discs, i.e. how long they last ,on average, and replacement, again my OPC has quoted £698 front and £669 rears for pads and discs. I know that these things are not cheap but this seems a little 'steep'.

You can buy new discs for about £90 each and pads for about £60 a wheel. Most of the suppliers like Jasmin, Design911, Porscheapart etc stock them. Changing them is very easy if your a DIYer. Take a trip over to renntech.og for instrcutions on how to change them. Of course if you do them yourself you may invalidate warranty.

If you intend to use the car on track days I would advise you to stick with genuine Porshe discs. I had terrible vibration from my brakes which I cured by replacing what I suspected where pattern discs with originals. I now have fantastic brakes, no problem on track days, using OEM pads. Therefore I'm not sure why you want to change your pads. Buy the discs from your local OPC but get them fitted by a friendly mechanic if you don't want to do them yourself. They are easy to fit. It cost me about £250 for both front discs and £20 labour.
