Brake querie

Can someone help to identify what brakes I might have fitted.

Some eagle eyed enthusiast (Clubsport) noticed that my brakes were........different.

They would appear to resemble 993 RS up front, not sure about the rears.

What should the standard diameter be on a 964 RS.
Mine are 340 with 4 and 5 hole venting holes and about 32mm thick.

Rears are about 310mm diameter. (think std)

Sounds a bit train spotterish (No offence to Train Spoptters as I'm sure it's very interesting) but would be keen to know what I've got.......Then I can bragg to Des.

I need to see a picture of front and rear, but sounds like 993 RS disks up front and potentially on the rear too. Are the rear disks a neat series of 3 and 4 hole lines (993 RS) or are they a random spattering of holes (964 RS).

The rears are random splatter which I think 964s had std?

The callipers are big and red if that helps (Technical term you'll understand)

Do you know what size the standard fronts are. I know they have 3 and 4 venting holes.

It would also appear that my front callipers are angled further round towards the upper part of the disc a la 993.

If you look at one of your many lovely 964 and 993 side by side, I think you'll see a difference in calliper placement.

OK sounds like 993 RS up front and standard 964 RS rear (although painted Red).

I think the drug dealer in Belgium who originally owned the car just painted them as they look original Turbo/Cup brakes to me which actually do a very good job coupled with the high pressure 15bar boost Carrera4/Cup Braking system....I think he also stuck on the bling wheels and twin exhaust.........

Cheers Melv, makes a change from the usual abuse! Nothing wrong with having an eye for detail...speaking of which, have you fitted the correct Recaros in your cup car yet?? [:D]

Hey Laurence, enough of that, you should be in the garage sorting your suspension out? [:D]

Who knows Guys...hopefully another Porker in the new year? [8|]
