Has anyone had the 6 pot brake upgrade with 350mm discs fitted? I have some MK2 GT3 calipers, which fit perfectly but having trouble locating compatible discs.[] Help Please!![]

Thanks to my freinds at Cool It Automotive and Kelvin at Porsche Reading, who let me loose with my vernier gauges to measure new discs from their stores, problem solved. My 997S now has BIG brakes, WOW!

Can't help you Paul. The C2 Gen 2 brakes are the same size as the C2S, but painted black. Can't see much point in an upgrade for me. However, I do totally agree that Gen 1 C2S brakes are much better than C2 Gen 1.

I am not sure it is just the calipers that would need changing. I believe there is something on a C2S like a prefilled system where the fluid is already pressured or something technical. Just changing the discs and pads etc may not give the improvement you are looking for.
Someone techy needs to confirm, but I am sure I am partway right on this. I would also say I do not think I have ever seen this change done; there must be a reason.

Calipers and discs will probably do it, though the only potential complication you need to look out for the backing plate. When I upgraded my brakes to larger ones there is a metal backing plate with a rim that can catch on the rear of the larger diameter disc face. It is likely your hubs will need stripping in order to remove this plate which will add to the man-hours for the job - or you can just remove them.
I am assuming that the hubs between the two models are the same and that the mounting points are identical. If not you might be looking at new hubs or conversion brackets.
