Finally after nearly 6 years of ownership, my 987S has the brakes it should have always had...

Within months of buying the car almost 6 years ago i was never that impressed with the feel or response of the brake pedal in the first half of its travel. The car went to OPC Wilmslow for some warranty work early on in its life (front grille replacements) and they supposedly bled the brakes (no different). Same OPC serviced the car at 2 years and changed the brake fluid as per schedule - no different. Two years later OPC Chester did the next service and brake fluid change- still no better.

Now based in South Wales and the car 6 years old, i decided to take the car to Northway Porsche in Reading - minor service, brake fluid change and auxiliary belt change. First application of the brakes on leaving Northway this afternoon - halleluyah !!! I now have a brake pedal thats progressive, but has a little firmness at the top of its travel and actually does something - just as it should be. I dunno what Northway did, or indeed what the OPCs did, but i'm one happy chappy :D
