Hi Folks,
Just back from hols refreshed and invigorated.

I'm sorting out Festival this week so if your name is not below let me know if you want to be part of the display.
We also need a car for the 'technical hour' on Monday at 10am.

So far we have...

Mr 'I killed Bambi' Guano (no car)
Mr Fraser 'nicest Man in 12'dom' Murray
Jon 'tie me to a tree' Darlington
Mark 'too many porsches too' Collins
Tjark 'fly' Andrews
Andy 'no seat belts' Smith
Richard 'fudge' Horvarth
Art 'Cal plate' Dempsky
Mark Cross

no idea Gav, you told me you didn't need mine as it was "over exposed" and people would be bored of seeing the same car at all the shows.... somewhat pi55ed me off as it had only been in two shows and i had already made plans for trailers and drivers to get my cars to the event.

i need to have information about these things in advance so i can book other peoples time. its no good telling me ok only two weeks before such a big event thats miles and miles away from my home. [][][]

Welcome back Gav . . . looks like you've upset Hel's . . . naughty. If you ever said her car was overexposed . . . it would have only been in joke. Looking forward to seeing you there . . . hopefully they've put all the 'old stuff' next to eachother . . . .. you camping this year?

Helen please call me (number in PP) at no time did I ever say I didn't need your car.

well how was i ment to read this then?
Hi Helen,
Hope you don't mind but as I said before I'm waiting for everyone to get back to me before we confirm the final places, as I said it won't look great if the same cars are featured everywhere. I have just emailed the Register list again and am away for a week so when I get back I'll confirm. You have always been down for the Register Display at Brands as it says on the PCGB forum. I have to put cars forward for the main display which I will do when I get back. ok? Sorry I havn't returned your email yet... been very busy finishing off work before hols!
G

which totally contradicted your earlier post on here that said you need as many as possable, 40 would be nice.(or words to that effect)

I want you on Porschestrasse in the 912 if you are not wanted in the 912 Anniversary display Helen, also I wouldn't mind the tow truck on Porschestrasse as well as I am short of Cayennes.
Have a safe journey down.

no the engines at the back therefore its best to reverse the car onto the trailer

911's always nose first onto trailer. Less chance of getting the tail of the trailer wagging!

You can see from the pic that the most weight i.e. the engine is ahead of both axels of the trailer.
Facing the other way would give the trailer better weight distribution, better handling and maybe better fuel consumption...

Think you lot should talk to Brian James trailers then. they strongly advise loading the weight closest to the tow car.

1) if the weights too far back the tail of the trailer will fishtail
2) the trailer will be heavier at the back which (could a rare times) course the tow hook to come adrift as there more strain on it.

so rear engined car should be reversed on to a trailer and front engined cars put on forwards....think i'll take my advice from the experts...thanks
