Hello all, just wondered if you'd all be interested in meeting on the last wednesday of each and every month at Brands Hatch?
We have been operating a German Cars only event down here for about a year now and would like to see some Porsches take part. If any interest i can allocate you a club area each month to fly your PorscheGB Flag as it were[;)]

Track and Karting time will feature on future events along with the normal full Bar,Hot food, TV.etc

Look forward to seeing some down there on the 28th of Jan

Many thanks

Ryan

Hi Ryan, Sounds like a great meet and thanks for considering us. We used to have an Ace Cafe meet every last Wednesday but that has now (2009) moved to 3rd Saturday so this may attract those who still want to meet on a week day and can get to Brands easily. I would love to come and may come along over the summer but working in central London it takes me an hour to get home (West London) and then given the M25 car park it would take some 2 hours to get to Brands Hatch [:(] All the best!

Sounds great to ALL East London and South Londoners, given the also nightmare Journeys (as Kish mentions) to Richmond and Ace, which are nearly impossible on the M25 as well so for the same reasons can we please except .... [:D] or This was a fantastic Venue for the Kent Region R25, where we met for many years until Dr J put up the ££££££ for our nightly once a month meet in the Kentagon ... they can be contacted r25@porscheclubgb.com Phil and Pearl Sharland .... For those of us living in SE London/NW Kent an ideal opportunity.

I second that. Unfortunately away for 28 Jan but will get there for the Feb meet if there is some interest on here. It will be nice to have a 15 min run down the A20 compared to the often tricky journey across town for the Ace meet [;)] Cheers, John

Cough cough "Kentish Man" [:D] Thanks for all the interest!! You are all very welcome so i keep my eye on the numbers and take it from there for now. As mentioned in the other section we could arrange the Ol' 'Car-in-the-Bar' to if needed[;)]

I had dropped an email to Phil and Pearl but I guess they must be away; although, this doesn't have to be a PCGB RO coordinated meet i.e. like Ace, which I coordinated and is open to all Porsche owners, you just needs some eager Porsche owner who can make most of the meets (initially while it is established) to make sure it is promoted everywhere. I am more than happen to add this in the London region monthly report in the Porsche Post but it would be more effective in the Kent section. I'll put it in for the Feb PP edition which will land on the doorstep a few days before this meet. All the best, Kish PS: I have now pinned this message to the top.

Kish it is inevitable that regions will intersect, great to list this as a London/Kent meet and give it the weight and profile of Team London ....

Nice engine and similar power to my new babe, but arrived at differently ... see you at Brands ...

I did not do it .... but start with a 993 3.6 low mileage Varioram 97 motor and let wane Schofield chip and remap with cone and short straight thru eshaust ... and apparently 326 Horse ....

I'm up for that (having just had my first meal since Tayyabs - how much did we eat???) as BH is very convenient.

Des, as mentioned in the previous post, I have emailed Kent ROs and put it in the London region report which you might have not read before posting. I am also in direct contact with Ryan too. What I am emphasizing is for long term continuity of the meet it really helps if someone who can attend most of the meets to take control and that does not necessary have to be an RO of any region... For those who have not been to the Prept site here are the details: Quote: Gates open at 6.30pm and close around 11pm on the last wednesday of every month! Please take your time to register and view the galleries and main index on the forum. In doing so you'll all recieve an emailed reminder every month prior to the event along with any offers and promotions in the surrounding areas. Please respect these simple rules below as a lot of time and effort goes into organising this event............. 1. GERMAN CARS ONLY! The gate will have MSV security and PREPT marshalls on duty upon entering the venue there will be no exceptions unless we have been contacted beforehand. 2. £2 ENTRY FEE, This is per car not per person and is just to cover costs, ie staff etc. 3. 10mph SPEED LIMIT , Once on site. If you race away from the gate whilst entering you'll simply be asked to turn around and leave by security who will have been contacted via radio. You are also on CCTV so no excuses. Please stay in the areas allocated to us. 4. NO PETS. Shame i know but....... 5. NO LITTERING. Please USE the ample red bins provided or we'll get charged for litter picking. 6. NO DRUGS. Please, i know some you out there like a good ol' smoke but please, have it before or after the event not during. Same goes for alcohol purchased outside the event. 7. STEREO'S. Please keep your music to a reasonable level so YOU can hear it, not everyone else. 8. NO FLYERS or BANNERS. This event is not an advertising medium. Although upon prior arrangement flyers can be given out at the gate by OUR marshalls (dependent on volumes) and banners displayed depending on the event. Address: Brands Hatch Circuit Fawkham, Longfield, Kent DA3 8NG Brands Hatch is situated on the A20 near West Kingsdown. Just 3 miles from junction 3 (Swanley) of the M25

Cool Kish .... I will be there, it is propbably the best venue of ALL by far, if you could give it as much publicity as possible in PP and any newsletters maybe as a joint meet with R25 how cool is that, in addition to anything else going on, I remember it was a sad day when we had to leave BH because of ££££ BUT NOW we go back FREEEEEEEEE HOW GOOD IS THAT!!! Hope to see some regular R20/25 Members, some may make the journey round the M25 .... hAPPY dAYS ARE BACK AGAIN .....

Thanks again All, Twenty odd days to go and the excitement is kicking in already[:D] Please feel free to fire over any questions you may have. I myself marshal the event on the evening so rest assured you will have a nice well lit area to present yourselves once on site. If someone could just give me notice in advance on numbers and what time you'll be arrriving (roughly) I'll do the rest as parking duties can get a little hairy down there[:D] Ryan[;)]
