Great weekend![:)]

Big thanks to Martyn for "Holding Court" at 1:00 pm on each day and providing beers etc. Great idea Martyn - hi jack a convenient gazebo for an hour of regional hand shaking and then go and enjoy the show. I bet you saw more of this National than previous years? Sorry to have missed you all on Monday - parrade laps & all that.

Good to see a lot of Essex members there. Sorry if I didn't get to say "Hello!" but, as I had Peter with me, you were probably better off that I didn't.[;)]

Dear sir,

I thought Peter behaved like a little angel during the entire event. Indeed your comments do him a dis-service. His general demeanour throughout set a shining example to all similar 'cherub's.

His fearless exploits controlling the camp fire would have impressed even the late Mr. Red Adair.

His interest and indeed attention to detail in all the model vendors at the festival was nothing short of miraculous.

Finally, I must conclude that his control over the mobile radio system and consistent use of the paging tone facility may be an early indication of his aptitude to a future sucessful career in train announcing, possibly even a future olympian.

Yours,

Bewildered of Highgate.

Bon Soir,

Actually very impressed ... Peter showed remarkable control of the Land Rover as he traversed the campsite on arrival. We were surprised that his feet reached the pedals!

Yes, A big thankyou to all the essex campers for making us Southerners very welcome again (bet its not often you get called northern in Essex [:)] ) The camp fire banter makes the weekend even better, well except for the singing this year[;)]. The RMS song still raises a smile though [:D][:D][:D]
