All just to remind the group that we are planning on being at the above venue. Please try & arrive around 10 - 10.30am.
Small charge.
This is a village just North of the A17 & west of the A607 East of Newark.
I hope this might encourage some of the twenty members from the south of the region.
Yes its a Saturday event.

Hope the weather is good.

More information on the Show. Entry will be £2 per person payable on the gate. For display cars there will be a light hearted Show and Shine competition judged by Mr. Brian Houseman of Old English Classic Cars. Brian is also the proud owner of an immaculate 1988 Carrera 3.2 Super Sport cabriolet. This is the third year of the show in the present format. I missed the first and this was described to me later as "just like Midsommer Murders without the murders". I attended last year and can vouch for this being a fair description. The range of vehicles on display for a small village is quite amazing and because of nomal weekend clashes not all the vehicles were available. If you bring a picnic, watch out for the parade of hounds becaue they are past masters of sniffing out any food. Hope to see you all at a venue in this part of the county. Thanks to the 4 hardy souls and their passengers who braved the chill and drove their cars to the show (make it 5 if you count Brad without his car). We were joined by 3 TIPEC members' cars to swell our Porsche numbers and give us a larger variety. We had a 997, a Caymen S, a Boxster S, a 993, a 944 turbo S, a 911 SC and a 911T 2.4. The first prize in the Show and Shine competition went to Jeff Adams (TIPEC for now) in his 1982 911 SC and third went to Cliff Doe (R4) in his 1972 911 T 2.4. The second spot was taken by villager Tony Mumby in his rare 1952 Jowett Jupiter (he's also the Spares Secretary for the Jowett Owners Club). The awards were well deserved and had nothing to do with the judge having a liking for Porches. He actually came in his Austin Healy 3000, leaving his Carrera Caby at home. Despite the chill, I think everyone enjoyed themselves It is what a village show should be. Something to interest everybody and the car show is in its infancy at the moment. Will you try it again next year? Keith 1988 944 Turbo S (the rare one)...going 1996 993 Targa (manual & varioram)...coming
