For over 30 years Calvert Trust has been enabling people with disabilities, together with their families and friends, to achieve their potential through outdoor adventure activities in the countryside.
Today its three centres welcome over 11,000 visitors each year, helping them challenge disability through outdoor adventure.
My local cente is:- The Calvert Trust Exmoor, Wistlandpound, Kentisbury, Barnstaple. Devon. EX31 4SJ 01598 763 221.
The Trust is promoting a Braunton Wheels Fundraising Event on Sunday 25th July at Braunton Recreational Ground near Barnstaple, North Devon.
They have run similar events in recent years - and very successful they've been too. []
The event starts at around 10am until 4.30pm and basically revolves around a static vehicle display for all types of transport together with various side shows and other attractions.
They are keen to have some Porsches along and I am wondering if any POCGB members would be prepared to help out by showing their cars.
I can appreciate it's a bit of trek for some, but there's no better place to be than North Devon at this time of year. Why not make a short break of it? We have some of the best beaches in the country and only 3 miles away and there's plenty of reasonably priced accommodation available.
PM me if you're interested and I'll send you an exhibitors' entry form (no entry fee needed) I do hope some of you can help this worthwhile cause.
Rachel Shortridge is the contact at the above address if you need any further details.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Clive
