Breakfast Meet - Chariots & Cherry - This Sunday 14th September

If the Register Rendezvous isn't enough for you this weekend, we're holding another breakfast meet at The Chariots and Cherry Pie diner on Sunday (14th).

If you've not been before, the diner is located on the A420 between Swindon and Oxford. Although we had a few niggling issues the last time we met there, these have been taken on board by the management and we can look forward to better seating for a large group and reserved parking for Porsches in front of the diner. So, if the idea of an early morning drive on uncrowded roads and tucking into a Bacon Hoagie, Belgian waffles, Buttermilk Pancakes or just a enjoying a coffee or milkshake in good company appeals to you why not come and join us? We'll be meeting there at 09:00 / 09:30. Look forward to seeing you there.

Alan and Fiona,

A very good turn out today. Sorry I was late again. However being an OAP I have trouble getting out of bed.

I had my first full English breakfast which was of generous proportions, at the venue, but can you arrange for Whole Earth baked beans in future because there is too much sugar in Heinz beans? Also the fried bread was not crispy enough for my liking so can you have a word with the proprietor of the establishment?
James, nice doors. but now is not the time to rest on your laurels: can you please clean that engine for the next meeting as you are really letting the region down?

Regards,

Kirk

The food was better [:D]
The dedicated parking was fine, even told GI to clear off [:D]
The combined seating was as we wanted it.

Let's do it again.

Alan and Fiona,
a great meet and such a good turnout. The breakfast meets seems to be working well.

Kirk,
I thought those beans would have been perfect with the extra sugar giving you an energy boost and the soft fried bread to help with the dentures [:D][:D]

The engine bay, that is 23 years of patina, once removed it will take ages to get it back. Once I have done that I will have to do the wheels, then hoover the interior and next give it a wash and polish.
You see it is the start of a slippery slope, next I will be doing concourse!
Its not letting the side down it is more of draco dormiens nunquam titillandus you never know what will happen.[:D]

A very big thanks to everyone who turned up this morning to make our breakfast meet at the Chariots and Cherry Pie diner such a success. An early morning drive on deserted roads followed by a three hour breakfast and a good natter is quite popular it seems. We felt that Yvonne and her diner team pulled out all the stops and managed to do a really good job of accommodating us, our cars and our gastronomic needs. We are therefore pleased to confirm we'll be holding another meet on Sunday 12th October - same time and same place. Once again guys and girls, a sincere thanks for all your support.

Kirk, your input is appreciated and your comments have been noted.[;)]

BTW, here are some pics from this morning...

See you soon,

Alan and Fiona
