Breakfast Meet - This Sunday 6th July

Just to confirm that we will be meeting up at the Chariots and Cherry Pie American style diner THIS SUNDAY morning, 6th July, at 09:00. (Apologies for the date being shown incorrectly in Porsche Post.)

For those that didn't attend last time, the diner is located on the A420 beside the BP garage near Buckland, Faringdon, Oxfordshire SN7 8PY - 14 miles East of Swindon (Sainsbury's) and 12 miles West of Oxford (Seacourt Tower). It can be found on Google Maps here.

I'm pleased to say, the diner is now operating in their new premises rather than the mobile unit they were using before. Please let us know if you plan to come along so we can gauge numbers. Look forward to seeing you there.

Just to say how good it was to see everyone who came to our breakfast meet at Chariots and Cherry Pie this morning. Very many thanks for all your support and company. Next time though, we'll try to arrange the seating a bit better. Whilst the diner's booths are great for small groups it wasn't exactly ideal for 12 people.

Having opened in its new building, the diner is fast becoming the area's petrol heads meeting place. Whilst we were there, we spoke to some of the regional Corvette Owners' Club who seemed quite interested in the potential for joint motor club events/activities.

Good to meet you all on Sunday morning and thank you for the warm welcome to an R16 member. Really nice trip from Cirencester along some of the country roads sat-nav took me through once I made my first mistake!

Alan/ The insurance company I was struggling to remember that arranges unlimited track day insurance is Manning UK - there is a thread on http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=827159&mpage=1&key=manning&#828484

Also, the R16 visit to Tewkesbury Porsche is planned for 16th August but as Stuart says, in his last email, it is still work in progress - it would be worth getting in touch with him to see if there is the possibility of R31 joining R16 or if not who to contact to arrange a visit of your own.
