Breaking '86 Auto

Just a note to say I'm breaking a complete (except wheels & seats) 1986 Lux auto. Not driven the car but it started on a booster and the engine sounds sweet and dosen't overheat.

Car is off the road and all parts available (very reasonably priced for fellow club members).

How many miles? and how much history,,,I`ld be potentially interested in the engine and gearbox and drivetrain.

There is a folder of history at home. I'll check the details tonight and let you know.

One thing I did notice from the old MOTs is that the speedo stopped working a couple of years ago and it has been standing for a year or so.

I bought it for the CUP 1's and black sports leather. The car is at a garage just now and the mechanic there has a 911 so he would be able to give an honest description of the engine/box etc.

I might have sold the suspension to our RO on TIPEC but the rest of the car is available.

Are those genuine wheels with spacers (offsets near valve stems) or aftermarket items?

Hi Tony,

They are Mile Miglia made (aparantly OEM fitment on Alfa's? not this style though) which I have sold to one of the TIPEC guys. Originals dont need spacers (I have them fitted to my LUX as per this photo) as this is an 85/5 on car

lolo Derek. How much do you want for the Rear wiper motor and sunroof motor? I have just had my S2 (91 MY) resprayed and want to fix my last couple of outstanding niggles (Standfast my wet passenger footwell). I'm on the West coast in Helensburgh.

If I had read the first post properly I would have seen the wheels were sold, sorry - if they are MM's they will have the offset for 86 and earlier cars anyway,

Cheers for the quick reply. If they work then you have a deal. I can pop over to Fife if required and collect, although it would not be until early Jan as I'm away alot over the christmas period visiting family etc etc etc.

Is it an oval dash model?
If so do you have the heater control unit, ie the front bit bit with the two sliders and two knobs?

Yes I do have the heater control available. £60 subject to testing ok.

I should be able to test them during Christmas/New Year so no problem with early Jan. Will let you know ASAP.
