I wish I knew the background to this - I've obviously missed something
It's not very interesting! []
Until Brett has had the opportunity to defend his numerous and unwarranted attacks on the Club and it's volunteers I think it's unfair that anyone comments on his actions today or previously on other forums. The Club have given him the chance and I guess this is his way of saying thanks, but no thanks.....[&:]
I apologise for the inconvenience this is causing. I am sure you all agree that it's not a long-term solution to give in to bullies even though they try to make life difficult for everyone else.

This is a car club. Why doesn't PCGB tighten all forum login security to prevent this crap from occurring??
Because it's a car club, and all the work is done by volunteers in their spare time....[]
This happened because we didn't want to be heavy-handed and ban the guy, we wanted him to keep involved with the club.
We have very few issues on the forums, but they tend to snowball and cause far more bad publicity than they warrant. We're not perfect, and we can be abused, but I think we try to tread a middle path that works pretty well most of the time!

Are we sure those repeated posts were not caused by a virus or worm on his PC??? It could all be innocent.
Yes!!!! Please give the admin team some credit.....[&o] It was a deliberate attack that had been threatened, and was gloated over!
I'm at risk of sounding all priggish here, but perhaps it's best not to speculate or to gripe about Brett. Yes, the multiple-postings-trick was not popular, and he made a twit of himself, but let's leave the mods to deal with him.
Having met Brett several times, I think it's fair to say that he is a character and has strong points of view. I'm not trying to defend him, but understand him. He hasn't made any friends on here recently, and I'm less and less inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt given his antics of late, but I guess I don't like to see him (or anyone else) slandered.
(Yes, this may go against some of my earlier comments on this thread, but so be it. Maybe I'm just getting soft in my old age.)
The original title of this thread was "Brett, Leave it!". Maybe we should do the same.

However, there are virusses out there that can hijack your computer for various spam generating reasons and these spams sent out automatically look, to all intents and purposes like they originated from the person who owns the infected PC.
On the other hand he brags that he can mess up a system.
I leave you to your own conclusions.
