Brighter rear Bulbs?

Any Suggestions on rear bulbs?..
Now the early darkness is falling I have to travel 40miles (in the Dark!) twice a week for my band's weekly moan..was followed by my Brother Last night who Told me my Lights were Dim...My Lights Not Me!

The wattage of rear lights (brakes, marker, fog and even reverse) are dictated by UK law, so you cannot user larger wattage. I suggest that you make certain the earth is good firstly and then make certain the bulb contacts are clean.

If you have volt meter check the voltage drop at the blub when it is in circuit - if anything less than say 13 v when the engine is running you will have dim lights.

Bulbs do burn and get darker. Change them. This is more noticable with instument lights. You are removing your speedo so chsnge the bulbs as well.

If I didn't know better I would say try some LED ones. A friend of mine has told me that you can buy the smaller size of LED bulbs that fit into the 924 and 944 holders without having to remove the light units to fit them. I think they have 9 LEDs in them.
Check out ultraleds on t'internet.

Cheers,

Fred. They aint legal and if he has an accident and someone tailends him he will be in the brown stuff.
