Hi All :)

I want to enter my 928 in the Brighton speed trials in September

Looking at last years figures for Porsches ...and going by my 75 hp
jetting figures (I am now on 150) I should be second fastest Porsche
there as only a GT3 (Raced by....Michael Youles

has run faster on the standing quarter....he ran
a 12.8 and I was running 13.2 on 75 hp jetting...
Which for a 20 year old car isnt bad lol...

With my 150 HP jetting AND 18 x 10 rears....who knows :)

Does anyone have any contacts in Brighton as I have emailed them but
am being ignored :(

Does anyone have any contact details for Michael Youles or Micky DAVIS (993 C4 ) please ?

Or has anyone done this speed run before who can give advice please ?

All the best Brett :)

Hi All :)
Spoke to an organiser.....
Not helpful at all !!! So I wont be entering.....
Entries must be in by June 1st..and its a FULL RAC/MSA event...
i.e...
Sealed bulkheads, full fire suppression system, rac competition licence...full scrutineering ...etc...etc
When I told him my car would run faster than 95% of his competitors....he wasnt interested.....and when I mentioned Nitrous..he was aghast.....I think he thought it was dynamite lol....
I think their idea of a speed trial and mine differ a little...I did wonder when I was looking at last years times/speeds why they were so low.....now I know.....
All the best Brett :)

C'mon Maurice, you're only jealous because you want some NOS in your blue beastie (or better still slap on a mahOOsive turbocharger) [:D]

Hi :)

Well......with Nitrous ..you can ADD up to around 300hp to what you already have.....

The only problem is cost....not the kit.....thats well under £1000.....its the gas cost....
ONE 11lb bottle costs £55 and lasts (on mine) for around 2 minutes 10 seconds..

BUT ...that 2 minutes is the MOST fun you EVER had with your clothes on :) :)

All the best Brett :)

you're in luck I spoke to Bernie and Max and they have sorted out another event just for you, as they realy don't believe that you need to compete against less powerful cars isn't really what in the rules, but there are enough other NOS events that they never see you at, so for this special event it runs down Brighton Pier on the 31st Nov and bring all the NOS you have, as the braking area is called France [&:] in morse code STOP

Hi :)

Do I smell a little envy....as yours is one of those "less powerful cars" you mention [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

All the best Brett :)

all that power and it still took 2 hours for a reponse even when you saw it when I 1st posted it ? ? come on ! get some NOS in you, it might help next time?...... after all even chops comes back with a comedy response (of sorts) within an hour...... and no gags about the coc ?

anyway off to the Nurburgring I go........ :ROFLMAO:

someone please click the lock logo before I have to ensure another response about power, nos and the coc !

All the best Brett :)

Oliver

well 'we' did say come along !

trick is to book it then tell the mrs, it's works once ! but not to worry Keith and George are coming along....... and we have about 19 cars now inc 17 Porsche's, just need to work out how to get the keys to Keith's Gt2 !

next year & let us know when you're off next !
regards

My other half loves the place and wants to go back more than I do!!!!

I think it'll be next year for me now, although if the opportunity presented I'd go again this year. Have to make do with Croft and hopefully Oulton Park instead.

17 of you? That'll make an interesting convoy! Didn't see any Police on the way out there, but there was one just outside France on the way back. He was hiding at the side of a bridge with a laser, but the locals weren't taking any notice of him. Hopefully you'll all have a good run.

As for the keys to the GT2, if Keith is the chap I met at TIPEC then some gentle persuasion with a bat might be the order of the day [:D]. Just make sure you've got your running shoes on, because if you don't get it right first time, well let's just say he's not the weedy looking sort........[;)]. If it is him, send my regards. By the way, his car is stunning!!!!!

Enjoy!!!

Regards
