Bringing a Car from England or Scotland to Northern Ireland

Considering the wide range of used Caymans (981) available in England/Scotland I have been exploring this market. I "assumed" there would be no difficulty bringing a car over but when I explore the issue there appear to be some if's and buts! For example talk of; Goods movement register and especially at ports like Belfast/Larne & Warrenpoint.
Does anyone have experience if this is relatively stratight forward or if I need to pay attention to anything in particular?
Appreciate any feedback,
Jim

Have a look at this link Jim:

If it’s to be believed then assuming the car’s your personal property and you’re a NI citizen you should be able to just drive it in?🤔 I‘d be inclined to verify that’s the case with Customs & Excise though.
