British Grand Prix alternatives?

JB 3.2

New member
As its potentially the last ever car Grand Prix at Silverstone and with Jenson doing so well we thought we might attend this year. That was before we checked cost and availability which makes it prohibitive for a family. Unbelievable how much its gone up since we last went two years ago.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"] So rather than watch it on TV does anyone know anywhere in our region that is likely to show the Grand Prix on a large screen and has some atmosphere?[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Was looking at attending the Friday practice day -£45 and you can go into any grandstand

Now there is no in season testing, theres actually lots of track activity on the Friday - I've watched it online on the BBC, and it looks quite good

For the race - large screen TV at home, with a few beers and mates (hung a TV in a tree and watched it outside a few years ago, that was a laugh)
