Broken aircon switch 944 or 968?

Does anyone know? Got a broken switch on one of my 968s aircon. It won't stay locked on. Being told it is only possible to get as a whole unit, the switch isn't available separately. Cost maybe £790 plus VAT. And more than likely a tiny piece of plastic in the switch is broken. Wondering if anyone has any knowledge or can source the part. am posting here because the switch looks identical to that on my 944. Thanks much

Not easy to get apart but thereare companies that can refurb them, may not be the cheapest, but porscheapart worth a try.

There's a thread on 968uk where a member did a DIY aircon install and may be able to help - and as you have 2 x 968's, that's a forum you should join, it's much more active and with a lot more info than the 968 forum on here, sad I know but it's down to the history of the 968 register on here despite the current RS's efforts to resurrect the register.

If you're up for a day out, we're meeting at Goodwood race Course tomorrow (Sat 5th Aug) where you can actually talk face to face with owners!!
