I bought one of these on the off chance:

The fuel cap itself is nothing like the OEM part - it doesn't have the same valve system for pressurisation / vacuum (not sure how Porsche fuel system works) and I wouldn't want to use it, but the rotating ring and retainer / cord / tether which joins the fuel filler cap to the car to stop it being dropped or lost can be easily prised off this cheap part by fingers alone and fitted on to the OEM fuel cap. A cheap solution compared to buying the OEM fuel cap if your tether has broken and these trivial problems annoy you
