Hi R10,

Here is a link to a porsche sunday event at brooklands..,
So if your looking for a early morning blast in the crisp autumn air..[:D]

All the best , manjit

Here is some extra info on the event from the 911uk site in the meets section ...

911uk --Once again we have been invited to this Fantastic venue by Donna at The Brooklands Museum Weybridge

http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/index.php?/events/details/brooklands-classic-breakfast16/

We had a fantastic turnout last year with over 40 cars attending and a very nice breakfast

Its a turn up pay on the gate affair with 911UK having a reserved parking in amongst the fantastic workshops and out-buildings of this slice of British Motorsport and Aviation heritage

This was done on an individual contribution to the museum fund last year and was a logistical night mare so if we want to do this again it would be pay on the day

Hi Manjit

I will almost certainly be going, the breakfast looks to be great value and if the weather is kind it should be a good day.

I think Kish Hirani set this event up a few years ago. It should be called "Porsche Club GB" as there is no "official" owners club other than ours.

See you all there.

Have fun

Paul Kelley

Sounds good, Manjit... perhaps a few of us early-bird R10ers could toddle down there and make a showing / fly the PCGB flag[:D][;)]
I might be able to make this or the other event suggested by Chris V., after all.

Why should it that be Mr Kelley

I personally organized this for a second year running as the title says 911UK were invited by Brooklands Museum so where is the PCGB connection I did not see an PCGB members involved last year in the raising of a lot of money for Museum with the exception of Melv

All are welcome as it is a Brooklands Breakfast club event but leave the holier than thou PCGB crap at home hey !

Paul Kelley

I can quite categorically state that Kish Hirani (whoever he or she may be) did not set this event up. AFAIAA, it was the brainchild of 911uk and I happened to attend it last year. We all received an authenticated certificate (incidentally, stamped 911uk) and a commemerative photo of the event from the Director of Brooklands no matter if you were 911uk, TIPEC or PCGB members. Superb organisation on part of the moderators I must say.

Fail to also understand why it 'should' be called Porsche Club GB....? Please could you shed some light on this?

Cheers!

~ Maxie [:D]

Hi, I was at this event last year, and it was ,if I recall correctly, and I do recall correctly, organised by a guy called Dan, at 911 OK . com.
Nice guy, had a brown labrador, and a 993 or somesuch or other.
Not sure what happened to the guy, I believe he eventually sold it all up, bought a 964 Covin, he repasted a fibreglass back wing on it, and a watercooled 1300 mark 3 escort engine in it.
I think he still badged it as a Porsche.
Tally-ho.

He didnt set it up

It isn't a PCGB organised event

Arent there 43 of us 911uk guys signed up for this now? Will be an awesome event.

And yes, I will be putting high gloss dressing gel on my tyres! [:)]

Hi All

Brooklands states "Porsche owners Club" in its blurb. Kish Hirani used to run the London Region of the PCGB and organised an annual meet at Brooklands several years ago.

911UK ,it would now appear to be running the event, good on you ,I am sure we will all enjoy it.

I was not offesive in my first comment and it did not warrent such a rather rude response (in my opinion)

Lets just get on with life.

Have fun

Paul Kelley

This is a great event, 911UK will have a fair few cars there, as they do at other events such as Wings and Wheels, and the Windsor event the other week.

It's free to join and quite an active forum.

Feel free to stick your heads in and have a look.

After all, we all love our Porsches.

Too many idiots with a predilection for water on there.

Wouldn't be seen dead.

Besides, when was the last time anyone got a club discount from being in 911uk.co.uk?

Now everyone join hands.......

The world is just a great big onion

And pain and fear are the spices that make you cry

And the only way to get rid of this great big onion

Is to plant love seeds until it dies, uh, huh

Hey, world, we got a great big job to do, yeah
We need you and everybody who loves truth
You know we got to clean up this place
And reach far higher, oh, yeah, yes, we do now
We gotta be headstrong about rightin' the wrong
And make a mountain of happy souls, oh, oh

Baby, the world is just a great big onion
And 'I don't care' is the face people like to wear,
yes, it is now And the only way to get rid of this great big onion
Every one single soul's got to do their share, tell about it, baby

So come on, let's knock on every door
Tell them love is the answer
Whether they're rich or poor, oh, yeah
And we don't care what you do
How you look or your status claim, baby
No, no, because 'Brothers and Sisters'
From now on is gonna be everyone's name, oh, oh
The world is just a great big onion
And pain and fear are the spices that make you cry, yes, it is

And the only way to get rid of this great big onion
Is to plant love seeds, now everybody got to plant love seeds
Come on and plant love seeds until it dies
The world is just a great big onion

Lets all just relax and plant Porsche l;ove seeds, hey guys.

You all be cool now, ya hear?

Yeah, a great forum, where you can have your posts and signature invisibly edited! (Didn't you notice that one of yours was also edited? - the one where you quoted "Porsche News")

Edit: Oh yes - Clinchy, I'm not overly upset with you! [;)]

I hadn't noticed, and I don't approve.

However, I will move on from that, life is too short etc. I have made a lot of good friends on 911UK.

Now I've got my 964, Rennlist is looking more like the place I need.

Check out Sundeep's profile on this forum. Appears he is still a Club member, despite his comments, and he also checks in regularly.

My issue is that my posts were edited, along with my profile. I haven't posted on there since, as I feel that any attempt to state my case would be censored by the Dictatorship there.

Yes, I have moved on too, and I have no intention on going back.

Let's all have a nice event and chat about our cars on the 28th (rather than who's doing what for who[8|], etc) - I'm looking forward to it already[:)][;)]
