Brown Cabriolet Tonneau Cover

Hi all,

My wife managed to get me a tonneau cover a while ago in an attempt to replace my blue tonneau cover that is showing signs of fraying etc around the fasteners. The only problem with the new tonneau is that it is brown in colour and doesn't really look great with my Midnight Blue bodywork.

Does anybody know what colour 944 Cabriolet actually came with a brown roof/tonneau as standard?

Thanks,
Steve

Thanks Paul - I thought it might be Gold but I've never seen a Gold 944 Cab either.

Here's my Midnight Blue 968 with the brown tonneau.

What do you all think? I'm not sure myself..

that's just soooooo wrong! [&:]

Worth looking at Southbound or Forest Fine for the price of a new one. A full hood with rear window is only about £500 IIRC, so a tonneau should be pretty reasonable.

You have confirmed what I have been thinking [:D]

They may cost more than we think as Porscheshop do these for £485 and they aren't even genuine Porsche parts. Funnily enough they do a dark brown one as well [:)]

The original blue would be best if I was to buy a new one.

Although not sure I would spend around £500 for a new one though..

Cheers,
Steve

I think you can still get a dye called RENOVO for re-couloring hoods as they fade. Might be worth getting a can in blue and trying to see how it comes out. I have used the black before and worked well on the wifes old Z3 which lived outside all year round

What do Southbound quote?

Cheers Geoff I know of the product but never used it. Will look into it as an alternative.
