Bruntingthorpe in the summer

I went down to Bruntingthorpe for the Old Skool track day and I've just got round to uploading the clips.

Unfortunately my Escort was, and still is, off the road so I decided to take the Porsche around instead [8D]

In this clip I backed off to let the guy in the 350bhp Sapph past and then picked him up only to find that I couldn't brake for the chicane - brake fade [:D]

In this one, I got round the chicane but was being hounded by the guy in the Mk2 Escort (Cossie powered of course)

Hi there Andy, like the video clips.

Bruntingthorpe is great fun, I've been there twice now in my 924.

Bit surprised about the brake fade, were you really braking heavily? My brakes were fine all day - even if the front tyres weren't [:)]

Paul, to be honest the discs and pads (and tyres) were due a change which is one reason I decided to take the car round - finished them all off that day [:D]

The car's braking is much better with the new stuff fitted but I still had loads of fun on the day.

It was bit strange though as I'm used to my Escorts or the Sierra (which you can see on my site) on the track, which are quite loud but the the Porsche was so quiet I kept getting very close to the redline without realising.

It would be interesting to take it out again to compare now that it's got the chip, induction kit, exhaust combination on [8D]
