Anyone else going to this on Sunday? I couldn't resist another go.

Martin.....

A high speed run on uncrowded road to test Vmax...... sounds like a trip to Coventry via the M45 at 6:00am....except £150 cheaper, and slightly less atmospheric...[;)]

Something I would never ever condone.

oops - who said that ???

S'funny, that's my commute to work every day.

Saturday and Sunday dayshifts I always seem to get to work too early

Turned out to be a great day, weather was perfect and a great group who all enjoyed themselves. Lots of people just came to spectate but managed to grab plenty of passenger rides in some exotic machinery (not something that happens a lot on the M45 Steve[;)]) and most managed to sneak in at least one free timed run.

There was a full range of cars including a Seat Cupra with 350bhp that surprised everyone by clocking 160mph. Good to know that the 996T still reigns supreme despite the presence of two Ferrari 360s, a Diablo, an Ultima and a 600bhp RS4. Still couldn't beat my nemesis Daz though, he was always 1 or 2 mph quicker.

Hi Martin - good speed, and I think it is at least 3mph up on the last time I have a picture from your car.

Nice to hear you can outperform the Ultima. My mate bought / built one recently with a Monster 5.7V8 etc etc... interesting fact

1) It uses the G50 gearbox (i.e. the one in a Carerra 3.2) and...
2) he challenged me to a race, and I WON !*

* - the race was easy ! - First one to depreciate below £30K....
