Unfortunately had a little Off in the 968 today, hit a Pool of water stretching right across the A14 and hit a Lotus Elan that had had exactly the same accident...probably a Write-off[][:(]

Nasty, and that's not going to be repairable!

Always good to see how well the cabin holds up in heavy shunts, the cars are very strong. Take it slowly out there, Jeremy has done a LOT of miles in the 44 and 68, so it really can catch anyone out when it's that wet. []

Thanks Paul, yes very impressed with the car, both doors open and the rear seat is still in place, I felt the seat do its thing during the impact and tge headrest caught my head very early

[]Terrible, glad you are ok though, hope you get a good result from the insurance and find another car, being positive at this time of year people find it harder to sell and you might get a good deal?

Bloody hell Jeremy, that's a terrible sight, so glad you are ok and what are the chances of hitting another car like that?
Sorry you have lost the 68, hope insurance company don't mess you about and your in another one soon.

All the best

Saw it on PH. Glad you're ok but shame the car is quite so bent. It can be replaced.
There but for the grace of god and all that in this weather.

I remember the pics of Gareth Husband's 944, that had rolled several times IIRC. The roof was kinked by about an inch, otherwise the passenger cell was intact. They are strong cars, and if you're going to have a freak accident then that's only going to be a good thing.

I had so many trips up the A1M to Peterborough over the decades visiting my Grandparents, and there was often really bad standing water despite the numerous resurfacing works on that road. One of the Car mag writers was caught out in a GT3 there as well. There must be a way of draining the A-roads and motorways properly despite the flat countryside they are in? [8|]

Ouch!! Sorry to see that but glad you're alright. Just looked at the photo again and you're both facing back up the road, so a spin, then? The Lotus looks like it smacked the barrier.

You have my sympathy...my first 944 was written off, rear ended on a perfectly dry day. Happily the agreed value policy allowed me to "get back on the horse" in a month or so...

Thanks Simon, how is my old girl?

Well, thank you. If you want to keep a Frontrunner Jeremy, you could always buy a S2/Turbo and run it on a classic policy. A gentleman of your experience should still be able to insure such a vehicle for £150PA.
