What is the approximate build time for a 997 and is the wait any longer for a 997S. I am looking to take delivery in July/ August if possible and if the wait is only three months dont want to part with my 5K holding deposit till as late as possible. I expect the wait is probably longer the nearer you get to summer. Also does anyone know if you can get Polar Silver any more as my boxster was this coulor and with the metropole blue intereior I dont think there is a better combo in my opinion

Your delivery expectations sound reasonable, I ordered my C2S on the 1st December last year and it arrived at the dealers the first week in August this year. The deposit is only £3k until you have to put the final spec to it but thats much closer to delivery anyway.
The special colour might delay things a bit I suppose but you might be lucky.
Take the plunge now for a summer 06 delivery !

Grab a copy of the new Porsche Exclusive brochure - a red 997 with aerokit on the front. There is a fantastic 997 in a colour called Fountain Blue which is similar to Polar silver - it really must be seen ! Call 08457 911 911 and they'll post one to you.
By the way, there are NO Polar 997's on the register !

How a bout this:
The sales manager admitted that he had ordered the special colour (a £2500 option) while slightly under the influence of alcohol as a demonstrator. Due to it being a special order it arrived late and they had already put another car on demo. They stuck this car in the showroom and someone walked in off the street and said he had to have it. The black leather interior has orange stitching. The whole car looks stunning, rather like early 70s Signal Orange.

sat in this car on Saturday, it is absolutely awesome, the matching of the orange stiching is so close to the exterior colour you could never tell the difference. I think im going for seal grey (chosen by the wife) and a black interior in my non S coupe, final spec TBA, delivery estimated at july/ august
